Moving Icons
Right mouse button
When dragging icons from the start menu to the desktop try using the right mouse button rather than the left.
When you're done moving the icon, a window will pop up asking you is you want to Move, Copy or Create Shortcut. This can really help of you want to keep the icon in your start menu but also have one on the desktop. Same thing applies to when you want to put something in the quicklaunch bar.
The right mouse button is one of the most useful tools available to Windows users, play around with it, you'll find all kinds of interesting things it can do
